What is my role, as a parent, with homework?

Mrs. Nichols would like to see students take on most all of the 
responsibility for their homework.  Your role should be that of a parent 
consultant.

How much time should my child be investing in homework each night?

Approximately 45-50 minutes should be spent on homework each evening.  This 
includes, project work, study time and actual written assignments.

How do I get my child's assignments when they are out sick?

Call the office to have the books sent down to the front desk.  Check the 
website for homework and do as much as you can.  The classwork will be made 
up in class with the assistance of Mrs. Chite and/or Mrs. Nichols.

As a parent, what if I am unclear about an assignment or project requirement?

Please feel free to ask Mrs. Nichols.  The best way to contact her is to 
send an email.  The second best way to contact her is by note.

What happens if I forget to pack a snack for my child?

Mrs. Nichols usually has some extra snacks in her file cabinet.  She is 
happy to share.
