I graduated with degrees in history and political science from the University
of California at San Diego. I'm married to Peter Chang, PhD, a naval architect
who works at the David Taylor Model Basin. I have two daughters: Sophie, a
sophomore at Ithaca College School of Music as a cello performance major, and
Sally, Swarthmore College 2011, who is a biology fellow at the University of
Kansas, Lawrence. Both Sally and Sophie were in the Eastern Magnet and the
Communications Arts Program (CAP) at Blair.
I am the sponsor of the National Geographic Geography Bee, the Geography Club,
and the Model United Nations Club. This year, I am also the sponsor for
National History Day. Any students who would like to participate in the NHD
competition in April should see me.
