WELCOME TO KINDERGARTEN

Monday
Practice and write Friday spelling word, bag, kid, cab, rib, tap, fig, win, 
fall, Bonus Words: chip, pink.  Write 4 sentences using 4 words from this 
week's spelling list.
Math: Give 2 examples to describe a penny.
Read for 20 minutes and fill-out the reading log.

Tuesday 
Reading: Story - The Woodcutter's Cap. Who are the characters? Was the 
woodcutter's cap a good place to keep warm? Why? Why didn't Rabbit tell Skunk 
that there wasn't enough room? As each animal moved in, what happened to the 
cap? How did the animals feel about Bee's arrival? How do you know? Is this a 
make believe story? Why? Who is our new alpha-friend? Practice our new alpha-
friend's letter - capital and lowercase. Practice Friday's spelling words: 
bag, kid, cab, rib, tap, fig, win, fall, Bonus words: chip, pink. 
Math: Draw and color a nickel coin.
Read for 20 minutes and fill-out the reading log.

Wednesday
Reading: Story - What Will the Weather Be Like Today? How can you tell if the 
weather is windy? What animals like rainy weather? What animal likes it hot? 
What other kinds of weather did we read about? What are the two animals fromt 
he story that do not know about the weather?  Write 5 words beginning with 
the letter /Ww/. 
Math: Draw and color coins worth 7 cents.
Read for 20 minutes and fill-out the reading log.

Thursday
Reading: Story - All to Build a Snowman. Who are the characters - give their 
names. What problem do the characters have? How was the problem solved? How 
did the kitten get down off the snowman? Do you think the lady was angry at 
Slim? Why or why not? What items did Dad lose? Write 5 sentences using your 5 
words beginning with /Ww/. Practice and write your spelling words: bag, kid, 
cab, rib, tap, fig, win, fall, Bonus words: Chip, pink.
Math: Draw and color both sides of a dime.

Friday
Reading: Draw and name the animal characters from the story: The Woodcutter's 
Cap.  Practice and write all the spelling words. 
Math:How is a dime different from a nickel and a penny?
