Links to websites we use at school
I have added links sent to all teachers in case of students having to stay
home with the flu. All of these sites look interesting and fun. Make sure
you check out the Zoo Cam. duing the year in case we have any new babies at
the National Zoo this year. All of the sites listed below support your
child's learning and how much more engaging they are than T.V.

This site has many stories for PreK-2nd grade students. This is
another site recommended by the county if your child is home with
the flu.
Reading is Fundamental
Science and math combine to make an interesting site for our
students to safely explore their world on the internet.

PBS on-line stories and enrichment activities.

Great site with tons of terrific activities. Try the reading
comprehension section. Also, one of the sites given to teachers
if kids stay home with the flu, but use it anyway.
Kid's Lab
This site has many stories that are read aloud. Check for
spelling and pronunciation differences. Another "if you have the
flu" site, but use it for fun and learning to read.
British Council Stories
Sequencing activity where students hear a story and put pictures
in order along with other activities. (Also for the sick and the
not so sick with the flu).
Arthur
A site with online stories and activities. Grades Prek-K.
Maybe you have little brothers and sisters at home who would like
this.
Story Place
Games for K-2 "WordPlay" can be used for students.
