Dear Parents,
I am excited to be at Vansville E.S. I am looking forward to another great year and
another great classroom full of eager, bright students. The best part of
teaching at Vansville is the opportunity to teach your children.
First grade is such a positive transition year. Your child comes into first
grade with many abilities. Throughout this year we will build on those
abilities and help each child put together information in meaningful ways.
Our goal is to make this year a strong foundation that carries them forward
in their life-long learning.
My major was Early Childhood Education and I have taught pre-K through first
grade. I hold an APC (Advanced Professional Certification), am ESOL
certified K-12, and taught Reading Recovery for six years. I have two
daughters of my own who have joined the working world in D.C. Wendy attends
The Columbus School of Law at Catholic University and we celebrated her marriage last year.
Gail works at The National Hospice and Palliative Care
Organization in Old Towne, Alexandria. Her expertise in hospice care continues
to grow and is relevant to the needs of so many.
Teaching is about teamwork between the teacher, the student, the family, and
the school. All are equally important, and I look forward to being part of
that team with you and your child.
Sincerely,
Jane Beveridge
