We are going to have vocabulary for the week of January 2.
The words are from Health: Disease Prevention Unit.

1. fever-  body temperature that is higher than normal.

2. vaccine- a medicine that causes the body to form antibodies
against disease.

3. antibodies- a substance in your blood that helps to fight disease.

4. symptoms- sign of disease

5. virus-  a type of germ.  a particle smaller than a bacteria that causes
disease.

6. bacteria- a type of germ,   a tiny one celled organism that causes disease

7. disease- a condition that keeps the body from functioning normally

8. germ-  a tiny particle that causes disease

2. emotion-  Strong feeling that affects the things that you do.

3. self-esteem- How good you feel about who you are.

4. appreciation- The feeling that everyone is special and important.
