What does a "Z" on Pinnacle mean?

A "Z" on Pinnacle indicates that the assignment is missing (and
it factors into the overall term grade as an "F" until a grade is
entered.) If the student completed the assignment s/he should
check the "No Name" crate; if the paper is found it can be re-
submitted and the student is eligible for half credit.

Are there opportunities for extra credit?

I do not offer extra credit until the last week of each term.
Students who are "on the bubble" between letter grades (for
example, a term grade of 88/89 is almost an "A") and do not have
any missing assignments are eligible for an extra credit project
that - if done well - will earn the "bump" to the higher grade
for report cards.

Can students re-take tests?

ABSOLUTELY! Retakes take place during CCA time.
Students should use their original tests as study guides
for the retake. I do not average the two scores,
I keep the higher grade.

When can a student receive tutoring?

I am available for tutoring one day a week on A2 or B2 CCA days.
There is a sign-up sheet located in the classroom for students to
request tutoring. There will also be times when I will require certain
students to attend tutoring.

Can students turn in work late?

ABSOLUTELY! Late credit is FAR better than no credit at all.
Zeroes on assignments can kill an overall term grade and create a
hole that eventually may be too deep to fill. That being said,
my definition of late is one to three days... anything longer
than that will result in no credit.
