NAME:
Mrs. McCadney
SCHOOL:
Windsor Knolls Middle School
CLASS:
6th Grade Mathematics
I am the oldest of three children and have one brother and one sister.
I was born in D.C. but my family moved to Michigan when I was two. I
returned to the east coast 20 years later and now live in New Market.
I received my degree from Saint Mary's College in Notre Dame, Indiana (GO
IRISH!) and my teaching career has spanned all levels from Pre-K through
High School. Outside of the traditional classroom I have also been the
director of a Sylvan Learning Center and operated my own tutoring service.
After having taught several different grades I can say that Middle School is
my favorite!
Outside of the school building I spend most of my time with my husband,
James, and our twin sons, Carter & Drew. The boys are in kindergarten at
Deer Crossing Elementary and are obsessed with construction equipment, LEGOS,
enjoy riding scooters/bikes and seem to have appetites that rival those of
grown men!
I am an artist at heart with a love for painting and graphic design. I enjoy
camping and any other activity that can be spent with family and friends. I
like movies, prefer comedies (although Carter & Drew are forcing that genre
to rapidly take a back seat to all things animated...) and I love ALL kinds
of music (especially anything live!)
It is my goal to plan & implement fun, interactive, informative lessons that
encourage and inspire students to develop an interest and solid foundation
in mathematics.
I look forward to a great school year!
