Parking at Wootton is very limited and this year Giant is not being as
cooperative about offering students the use of their spaces. Many interns
may need to carpool, share a space or take public transportation. You are
very fortunate, indeed, if you receive an assigned parking space.
Interns are NOT assured a parking space at Wootton. Parking spaces are
issued to interns only after the coordinator approves the intern site
placement and work dates and times.
The administration is revamping the parking space assignment policy.
Parking spaces will be distributed AFTER the first week of school in the
Fall. Because parking spaces are limited, they will be assigned only to
those students with completed Applications and Site Information packages AND
a WHS Parking Application on file with WHS administration. WHS Parking
Applications are downloadable from the WHS web site. WHS parking
applications are submitted to Mr. Owusu.
Carpools will have priority and then space assignment will be by order of
receipt of Site Information by the coordinator. Interns who anticipate
needing a parking space MUST have a completed Application, Site Information
Package and WHS Parking Application on file with WHS administration no later
than AUGUST 15 to be considered for the first assignments. Parking spaces
will NOT be reserved in anticipation of a site placement.
Under no circumstances will the coordinators attempt to influence or
negotiate a specific parking location. Security will attempt to accommodate
specific location requests ONLY if you have a bona fide handicapping
condition that severely limits your mobility, i.e., permanently confined to a
wheelchair.
