Why do we need to write long lab conclusions?

The conclusions meet the goals in the Howard County curriculum which in
turn match the state goals. Specifically: The student will
demonstrate the ability to provide supporting evidence when forming
conclusions, devising a plan, or solving a practical problem. The
county objectives break it down into using the scientific method to
collect, organize, analyze, and communicate quantitative data through
speaking, writing, and drawing. In addition being able to construct
valid conclusions based on scientific collection and analysis of data
(writing to inform, writing to persuade) is also an objective which
needs to covered.

So--to make a long answer longer--you need to write a conclusion because
it covers numerous goals and objectives in the curriculum each time you
do it!
