We have a homework incentive! In order to reward class wide homework return,
when the entire class has their homework in on time, our class will earn a
point. Students will receive a reward of time spent in a choice activity at
the end of the quarter, based on how many points the class earns. A minimum of
3 days of reading log homework will earn choice activity time! Get on board
and read, read, read!
And don't forget - if you read an article on the computer, a book about how to
win your favorite video game, a book on tape/cd (please follow along in a
printed book at the same time), a recipe to cook for your family, or read
textbooks for your other classes, YOU CAN COUNT THAT TIME!

Welcome to sixth grade reading! I hope you will have a fantastic year in my
class. Thank you for sending me a terrific bunch of students! It is wonderful
to begin getting to know them as people and as learners.
Our 1A class is held in room 20.
Students received a new core+ teacher for their 1A core+ time, as I
am the reading specialist and provide services for all grade levels during the
core+ time. For every 1A core+ time, they will report to their alternate
core+ teacher.
