Dear Parents,
A few points to mention this week:
• During the past two weeks the children have been practicing on the proper
use of classroom technology and have also completed their first individual
writing assignment. We broke into small groups working on different areas of
technology, while others worked with me and Mrs. Murphy to write their own
creative sentences on the season of Fall. This has been very rewarding for
them and they are very proud of their accomplishments! Please take the time
to look at all their work which is displayed in the hall outside the
kindergarten classroom. We now have resumed our language class instruction on
proper letter formation and we are learning the letter “Vv”.
• This Friday, October 30th, St. Martin’s will hold its annual Halloween Walk
For the Homeless/Parade. Please consider sending a donation for this worthy
cause to the office marked Walk for the Homeless. You are most welcome to
come join us. It is fun to watch the children parade around the school, and
enjoy the classroom party being prepared by some of our parents. Please send
your child’s costume to school with him/her and we will help them get dressed
immediately after lunch.
• Remember, there is NO SCHOOL on Tuesday, October 27th!
• We’ve added a few photos from our field trip to Sharp’s Farm to the Class
Photo Gallery … check them out!
Have a great week!!!!

Dear Parents,
We had a great kindergarten turnout for our Fall Festival this past
Saturday. Thanks to those of you who came and supported this school
fundraiser. Hopefully you got the opportunity to meet some of the other
children and parents in our classroom. It seemed as though a good time was
had by all!!!
Some things to note for this upcoming week:
• TUESDAY, OCTOBER 13th Field trip to Sharp’s Farm at Waterford. Please
remember to have your child dress appropriately for the weather and that “tag
clothes’ may be worn. Don’t forget the morning snack, lunch, and plenty to
drink. Can’t wait!
• WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 14TH: The Living Rosary is canceled.
• THURSDAY, OCTOBER 15th: Bake Sale, sponsored by the 7th Grade. Please
send 25 cents so that your child can buy a treat and support the Angel Fund.
