I am currently the Earth Science Teacher and Varsity Boys Basketball Coach
at Deering High School in Portland, Maine. I am entering my 17th year as a
teacher. I have spent the last 9 years teaching Earth Science at Deering. I
have also taught Middle School Science at King Middle School in Portland.
Prior to that I spent 1 year teaching Health Education at Moore Middle
School in Portland, and prior to that.. 1 Year Teaching Middle School Earth
Science, High School Health, and High School General Science at Houlton
Jr./Sr. High School in Houlton Maine.
Earth Science is a study of the Earth and its place in the universe. This
course emphasizes the constant changes of the earth. Through laboratory
activities the student will build a foundation in physical geology,
historical geology, environmental science, meteorology, oceanography
and astronomy. Students will also develop basic skills in which provide the
foundation for subsequent science courses.
