Greetings!
To tell you a bit about myself, I grew up on an expansive tree farm in Lisbon,
Maine, and then attended college in New Hampshire where I earned a degree in
elementary and special education. My first year teaching was spent in
Massachusetts, followed by my return to Maine where I taught 6th grade
students in Falmouth for ten more years. For the 2008-2009 school year, I took
a one-year leave of absence to spend more time with my two daughters, Emma and
Elizabeth.
I returned to Falmouth and began teaching 5th grade two years ago, and this
September (2011) marks the beginning of my 14th year of teaching.
My husband of 10 years, Todd, teaches 8th grade science at Westbrook Middle
School. My daughter Emma will turn 8 in October and will be in second grade at
Russell Elementary School in Gray, while Elizabeth turned 5 at the end of May
and will start kindergarten this fall.
My hobbies: Photography, computers, keeping up with my daughters!
My pets: Miles (an extremely large orange cat who thinks he is a dog), and
Bailey (a dark gray cat who seems to come out of hiding each night when the
girls go to bed!)
