Our Level System

The Level System “An opportunity for success”

In an effort to provide support to our students experiencing difficulty, we have developed a three level system. Our goal is that every one of our students are successful while reaching their greatest potential. Each Monday, a student is placed on a level. The three levels are described below.

LEVEL 1: The student is passing all of his or her academic classes in good standing.

LEVEL 2: The student is either failing or in danger of failing one of the academic classes. He or she is given a “Level 2 Notification” sheet that needs to be signed by both the student and parent and returned to the advisory teacher. He or she must develop a plan to bring the grade to good standing as well as attending a mandatory after school session on the “after school help night” of the failing class.

LEVEL 3: The student is either failing or in danger of failing 2 or more academic classes. He or she is given a “Level 3 Notification” sheet that needs to be signed by both the student and parent and returned to the advisory teacher. He or she must follow the plan we have set for level three students, which includes staying after every night except Wednesdays.

After school help nights:

Monday- Science

Tuesday- Language Arts

Thursday- Social Studies

Friday- Math

**Various activities will occur throughout the year for students on level 1. Students failing classes may not be eligible for these “non-academic” activities. Please email us with questions. This system is effective immediately. Students will notify you by phone if they are required to stay.
