Yes, Mrs. Blatt is after school most Tuesdays and Wednesdays each week. In addition, students/parents can check for a specific time or date. Students are welcomed and encouraged to stay to just catch up or review current class work. If a student has been absent it may be necessary to stay after school to complete missed work (especially lab work that may require materials and/or equipment not found at home.) Students can stay with Mrs. Blatt from 2-3:00PM and be picked up at 3:00PM or they can go to Homework Help and remain there until the late bus at 3:50PM.
Our science classes make use of several modules of the Prentice Hall Science Explorer series of texts. Primarily they are used as resources in the classroom and individual texts are not signed out to each student. However, these books ARE available for students to sign out and bring home to use. This is especially recommended if a student has been absent and missed many of the classroom activities and discussions. Also, students may want (or be asked) to read at home to review concepts presented in class.
