About Mrs. Wells

I graduated with a BS in Education from the University of Maine in 1993. The 2011-2012 school year
will be my nineteenth year teaching seventh grade math! There is nothing I'd rather be doing!
During this time, I also completed my graduate degree and earned a M.Ed. in Technology Education
from Lesley College.

This year I became one of MSK's first Apple Certified Associates, thanks to our very own Swift Center
for Innovation and Design. My passion really is teaching students using the most creative
approaches available. I take full advantage of my students having laptops provided by our State's
MLTI program. I hope you are as excited to receive these invaluable tools this year.

I enjoy learning new technology skills, photography, scrapbooking, traveling, skiing, and
spending time with my sons, Jonah and Jaden who both go to Saco Middle School. This summer my
family and I spent two weeks traveling abroad. We skied on the glaciers at the Mattahorn in
Switzerland, visited the city where I was born in Germany, and also went to Austria, Lichtenstein,
Italy, France, Spain and Tunisia. I always ask those I meet about the schools in their countries, I
never fail to be thankful that I teach at MSK!

My goal is to provide a classroom where every child feels safe to take risks, make mistakes and is
challenged. Mathematics is such an important skill in our society I want to make students realize that
they are capable students of mathematics.
