Hello from Second Grade!
It was great to see many of our second graders (and their parents) running on
Saturday! You were awesome! Our first St. Thomas 5K was a great success.
In math (as you've seen in the homework) we have been working on Missing Part
sentences. This is a prealgebra concept (yes, it's true!) that we will be
working on over the next couple of weeks as we prepare for a Maine Department
of Education learning task. The kids are blowing me away with their fast,
accurate math facts!
Thank you for all who contributed to our class Halloween party. Mrs.
Lapierre filled out volunteer forms so that everyone who donated to the party
will receive an hour for their contribution. We really appreciate Mrs.
Lapierre's help and orginazion of the party and Mrs. Ledue's great activties
that got our minds and bodies working!
On Monday we sent home a sign up form for parent/teacher conferences that
will be held on Wednesday, November 18th. It's a challenge to schedule
everyone in one day. So many of us are available at the same time. Thank
you for your flexibility! If that day doesn't work for you we can schedule
your conference for another day and time. If you did't receive a sign up
form, please let me know!
Thank you!
