| There is no homework for the rest of the year! Don't forget about those
Olympic t-shirts, though! The Olympics is only a week away!
We will be off to Drake's Island on Thursday, June 12th. Please send in
permission slips if you have not yet done so! A few reminders- please put
plenty of sunblock on your child before he/she leaves for school. The no
dress code attire for the day is shorts and tees- no bathing suits, please
(as we are not going in the ocean)! Hats are also important! Thanks!
On Monday, June 16th at 2:05 in the classroom, the students will perform some
short skits for the volunteers who helped regularly this year during
reading/writing time. We will also be honoring our volunteers at that time,
but we would like to extend the invitation to any parents (even if you did
not volunteer in the classroom this year) who are able to attend as well.
The children have made leaps and bounds in their reading skills this year and
these skits show how much they can do now that they're readers!
