Homework Policy

     It is important to complete homework when assigned as homework is practice for newly learned material and preparation for tests.    Each child has a homework folder with an assignment notepad with the day of the week listed above each column.  We ask the class to record homework assignments as they are written on the board.  If a paper is not completed during class time, it must be placed in the folder, finished at home, and returned the following day.  We understand that special circumstances may arise that prevent the student from completing the task.  In that event a signed note from the parent will serve as a valid excuse, but homework must be returned the following day. 

     The consequences for unfinished homework are as follows:

                                 1^st time – verbal warning

                                 2^nd time- note home

                                 3^rd time- note home and detention

     If at any time you are unclear about an assignment or have questions about your child’s work, please contact us.  We may be reached through our e-mail, a note, or a phone call at school (will be responded to after class hours)
