A Note from Mrs. Z.You should have received a letter home from me explaining the news about my emergency surgery and that the doctor will not allow me back to work for 4-6 weeks. I was devastated when I was given the news. :( But.... school is almost done and I feel that Auburn's entire group of 5th graders have worked VERY hard to get themselves academically ready for middle school English Language Arts. I am very proud of the writing projects that have been edited over and over - the final drafts are awesome! Students will be taking their year long portfolio of writing projects home the last week of school. And almost every student raised their reading comprehension level - some students jumping as much as 3-4 grade levels! It has been an amazing year and I am so excited for their transition to middle school...they will do great things next year! Enjoy the rest of the school year and summer!!
