Dr. Richard T. James, Jr. is a 1985 graduate of Cass Technical High School
and a 1990 graduate of Morehouse College, he holds a Bachelors degree in
Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. He also, holds an
MBA in Strategic Planning Management from Davenport University and an
Educational Specialist degree in Educational Administration from Wayne State
University. Proudly, in 2003, Dr. James received his doctoral degree in
Educational Leadership and Policy studies from Wayne State University. In
December 2006 Dr. James receceived National Board Professional Teachers
certification, which shows his high level of skill in teaching and gives him
teaching accreditation all over the United States.
He teaches Marketing/Business Education in the Detroit Public School system.
He taught at Mackenzie High School for over 11.5 years and now has found his
home at Cass Technical High School where he is an alumni. He has also
taught business classes as adjunct professor for Davenport University and
Wayne State University.
His goal is to effectively change the current educational system so that
students will learn to effectively navigate through and become successful
members of society and contribute something to the world.
The mission is to provide a broad range, of academic, social, and cultural
experiences in the area of Marketing and Business Education, that will
prepare our students to be successful in college, life and the world inorder
to be contributing members of our global society.
