Classroom Jobs
Second graders, I'm putting you to work!
Don't worry... no one will have to corral in the horses or
clean up in the pasture!
In our classroom, we will all have jobs to
help our classroom run more smoothly!
Check out the list below to see the jobs we have in
class!
Filers-
You will pass back all graded work into cubbies and help
load H.O.R.S.E. folders on Friday!
Messenger-
You'll take the lunch count down to the cafeteria every
morning and run other errands that Mrs. Bainbridge needs
done! You'll also answer the phone if it rings during the
school day.
Librarians-
Everyday you'll make sure our classroom library is
organized.
Chairs-
This is a job for those with muscles! You'll take down all
chairs at tables in the morning and stack them in the
afternoon.
Sub-
If someone is absent, please make sure their job gets
done!
Packer Uppers-
At the end of the day, you'll get our classroom ready for
tomorrow.
Caboose-
The Caboose walks at the back of the line and helps make
sure we're all walking safely, respectfully, and
responsibly down the hallways.
Basket Carriers-
Another job for kids with muscles... you'll take our lunch
boxes down to the cafeteria every day and carry our books
to the library.
Cleaning Crew-
This job is so important to keep our classroom beautiful!
You'll pick up the floors and wipe down the sink at the
end of every day.
Line Leader-
You'll get us where we need to be... and do it safely,
respectfully, and responsibly.
Paper Passer Outers-
Mrs. Bainbridge will ask you to pass out papers and
supplies.
Week Off!-
Sit back, relax, and enjoy your week off!
Every student will get to do every job, so don't
worry if you don't get the job you want right away. For
the first few weeks, you'll have to check the chart each
Monday to see which job Mrs. Bainbridge has hired you for.
After a few weeks, you'll get to choose your own job on
Mondays. Later in the year, you'll even have a chance to
apply for a job that you really love... but you'll have to
be really convincing if you want me to hire you!
