Each student received a complete copy of the course syllabus on the first
day of school. Please refer to that packet, since this website is only a
summary of the course expectations.
Requirements for Success:
This classroom operates like a team. Students take responsibility for their
learning and are expected to help classmates when needed. This
responsibility includes (but is not limited to):
A. Following school and classroom policies
B. Coming to class prepared with completed assignments
C. Asking and answering questions
D. Guiding students who struggle and those who return from absence
E. Seeking extra help after school (Tuesdays & Thursdays
from 2:45-3:15 p.m. or later).
ABSENCES & TARDIES:
If you are absent it is YOUR responsibility to seek out what you have missed:
A. Turn in assignments that were due the day(s) missed
B. Take tests/quizzes that you missed
C. Obtain notes, worksheets, and activities (etc.) from the day(s)
missed
D. Obtain detailed information regarding assignments that were given
on the day(s) missed
E. A detention will be issued for each tardy following the fifth
tardy of the semester

B- to B+ 82.5-91.4%
C- to C+ 73.5-82.4%
D- to D+ 64.5-73.4%

Grade Reports!
YOU WILL PRINT OUT YOUR GRADE REPORT ON THE 1ST OF EACH MONTH AND HAVE YOUR
PARENT(S) SIGN THE COPY. THIS IS TO BE TURNED IN TO YOUR TEACHER WITHIN TWO
SCHOOL-DAYS OF THE 1st.
Class Conduct:
School conduct and attendance policies will apply in this class. If a
student decides to interfere with the learning of others, the following will
occur (usually in order).
1. Warning and/or a student/teacher conference after class. Possible
documentation on FaWEB.
2. Phone call and/or email to parent/guardian. Possible referral to
councilor.
3. Detention or other disciplinary action with teacher.
4. Referral to Dean of Students/Vice Principal. Possible 3 hour
Saturday detention.
5. Administrator initiated parent meeting with possible suspension.
6. Administrative action with possible long term suspension.
