CAREER PATHWAYS
Learning about careers is important to your child's educational planning.
The counselors will be working in classrooms introducing your child to the
Career Pathways.
Exploring Michigan's Career Pathways is a statewide effort to enhance
students' career awareness. Students will be engaged in activities that
hopefully will encourage them to think about their interests, skills and
abilities. Students will be using an Internet-based career exploration and
planning tool called Career Cruising. This career guide can be accessed from
school, home, or wherever you child has access to the Internet.
Helping children develop career goals is everyone's responsibility: school
counselors, teachers, business leaders, and parents. Research shows that
parents play the most influential role in their child's career choices.
