Book orders are due Thursday, December 10th.  If you would like your order to be surprise, please note that on your order forms.  I will contact you when the books arrive to arrange a pick up time.  These books will be here before the holiday break. 

Important information regarding multiplication:
       We have started memorizing multiplication facts.  We are starting with 1 x any number and using our Fast Facts program to practice and complete one minute written timings.  Please look for the facts we are learning to come home as homework or in our class newsletter.  It is helpful to practice a few facts at a time rather than the entire set of multiplication facts.  When you are practicing multiplication at home with flashcards, please focus on the ones we are learning in class and only go ahead when your child can correctly answer the fact within three seconds.  
     
      Also, it will help your child in the long run if s/he reads the multiplication facts bottom to top.  Therefore, we are practicing the facts bottom to top as we memorize them.  This is the opposite of addition and subtraction facts.  Please see the newsletter form December 4th for a printed example.
