A NOTE FROM THE TEACHER
It's hard to believe that we are already into February. I hope everyone enjoyed their Super Bowl Sunday. We have many events to look forward to this month. I wish everyone a FANTASTIC week!!
NAAPID, National African American Parent Involvement Day, will be celebrated Monday, February 9th. All parents are invited to spend the day at Logan. You can view the schedule for the day on our NAAPID page from our site. During the morning assembly, our fourth graders will be singing along to the song "What I Am". Students can rehearse the song from home by visiting the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0CAtFbp7oYw.
VALENTINE'S DAY APPROACHING
We will be having a Valentine Exchange Party on the afternoon of Friday, February 13th. I will provide a list of students' names for Valentines. If students choose to bring in Valentines, I ask that they bring one for each student. Thank you to Katie and Carli who have been planning our party for us!!
IN MATH THIS WEEK
We will continue Unit 7 in Math, which focuses primarily on fractions.
IN WRITING THIS WEEK
We will begin a new genre of report writing this week. Most students finished typing their Feature Articles last week. In a few months, our class will be putting on an all-school assembly, where students will share their feature articles. More information will be shared, as we get closer to the performance date.
Thing-A-Mabobbles are weekly math challenge problems that students may attempt from home or from school. They are always due on the Friday of the week that they are assigned.
