A NOTE FROM THE TEACHER
The students earned their 200 ticket Movie/Popcorn PBIS reward. Thanks to Ms. Kimball for bringing in The Wizard of Oz... such a classic!!! I am looking forward to the warmer temperatures that are projected for this week. I wish everyone a great last week of April!!
IN MATH THIS WEEK
I was excited about the students progress on their Unit 10 Math tests. The pretest average was a 67%, and the posttest average was a 91%. We began Unit 11 last week, and the Family Letter went home in students' Friday folders.
IN WRITING THIS WEEK
Our current focus in Writing is going to be on M-Step Practice. We have begun using the students' Google drives to save their work. That way, their work is also accessible from home. We will also begin our Poetry Unit soon!!!
In place of spelling tests over the next couple of weeks, we will be focusing on some commonly used test language. The students tests on Thursday will involve them choosing which word contextually fits into the sentences that they are provided. The list for each week can be found on our Word Study page.

M-STEP PRACTICE SITE
We have been doing some M-Step practice in class. If students wish to access the practice site from home, they can do so via the following link: http://aware.22itrig.org/practice-problems.html or click on the M-Step Page from the menu bar.
Thing-A-Mabobbles are weekly math challenge problems that students may attempt from home or from school. They are always due on the Friday of the week that they are assigned.
