Why did you leave such a cool career (and $$) to become a teacher?
Because life is not just about the job we do. It is about our connections with people and with family. The legacy I hope to leave behind is how my family and I affected people in a positive way, hopefully spurring more kids on to choose science-oriented careers, or at the very least, take better care of themselves physically so they can have a happier and healthier life. This beats just leaving my name behind in hundreds of obsure scientific journals, but knowing that I probably never really had a personal impact on anyone.Back to Top
