There is no school Tuesday 11/3/09!!!!!!!
Students should be READING their 100 Facts lists TWICE a week (Facts 1-25
for now), as
homework for science. Learning science vocabulary words is critical to
understanding scientific processes. Students will be quizzed on TEN random
facts weekly and will chart their progress. Students should see an increase
in average quiz scores over time, if they are reading their facts weekly.
They will also demonstrate more proficiency on their science activities and
assessments throughout the year.
Students earning a score of ten out of ten will have their picture
added to the "PERFECT TEN CLUB" wall in our classroom. Students who are
proficient for the quarter will be excused for the rest of that quarter from
taking the weekly quizzes!
