How does a child qualify for PALS?

Students are screened for testing through their scores on the NWEA, and are admitted into the program if their KBIT (Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test)score falls at the 95th. percentile or above in either the verbal or nonverbal testing area.

Tell me more about PALS.

PALS classes are held three times per month, for one half or one full day. Morning sessions (Word Wizards) focus on language arts, while afternoons (Number Crunchers) are devoted to science and math. PALS class time centers around affective needs as well as independent studies, technology, research, curricular accommodations and extentions.
