The most important time in our church’s year has begun– so now what? During the 40 days of Lent the kids will be focusing on prayer, fasting and almsgiving. STOP, simplify your life and focus on God. Let go, and let God take care of it. Spend time in prayer and pray often. Pray with your kids often and yes, walk into that middle school kid’s room and say a simple prayer with them. If they don’t listen to and follow you, they’ll find someone else to follow and listen to. Also, tuck that little one in and have them lead you in prayer. I pray with your kids everyday. Sometimes we pray for friendship and courage, sometimes we pray for others, and sometimes we thank God for Spiderman fruit snacks and Polly Pockets. As a matter of fact, leave this webpage now and go give those beautiful kids of yours a hug. Simpler yet, STOP right now and thank God for them in a prayer.

Catholic Schools Work Together in December 2010 St. Pius X & St. Roberts students work together! On December 6, St. Robert eighth graders hosted St. Pius X eighth graders for a day of blanket making.

St. Pius X kids helping MCIC kids in September 2010 Good Catholic Kids If there was ever proof to the benefits of a Catholic education, this video is it. Our children show such compassion to the needs of others and the way that they speak in the interviews shows how educated and mature our children are. Each year our middle school children make multiple visits with the children at MCIC.

Star Wars Day 2010 May The 4th Be With You Star Wars Day: 'May the 4th be with you' is celebrated at St. Pius X Catholic School. Mr. Kaplan, a huge Star Wars fan, used the different races and species in the film that come together for good as a way to help celebrate the differences in people while also encouraging students to dress in cultural attire.

Celebrity Basketball Game A Slam Dunk (March 2010) Saints vs. Sinators Senator Gleason and principal R.J. Kaplan faced off against each other as they put on a celebrity fundraiser game to help the 7th graders raise funds for their trip to Philadelphia next year.

Enrollment Surges October 2009 Children's Mass Celebration Students gathered on Sunday October 25th 2009 to celebrate mass together. The liturgical celebration was created to praise Jesus and our schools continued growth! A very special thank you to Mrs. Pierce and Daniel Schmidt for making this mass possible.
