The Mission of St. Pius X is to provide a welcoming, happy, Catholic, family
environment for learning.
August 31: Mass at 8:30, Prayer retreat and teacher meeting. Luncheon
followed by Professional Development
September 3: Opening Business Day – Orientation. Mandatory come in/pay
dues. NOT a school day.
September 8: School starts. Full day/full dress code. Kindergarten
transition dismiss at 11:00.Back to school Parent Meeting at
7:00 in then parents visit classes.
September 9: Kindergarten transition dismissal at 11:00.
September 10: Kindergarten transition dismissal at 11:00.
September 11: Patriot Day. Kindergarten begins full day.
September 14: Home School Council Meeting 6:00 PM in the library
September 17: Home School Council welcome back pizza party at 6:00
September 17: Constitution Day- Prayer around flagpole
September 23: Student Picture Day
September 25: Reading Celebration… if summer reading goal is reached
October 9: Midterms

October 18-24: Safe Schools Week
October 24: Fall harvest Trunk-or-Treat sponsored by the Home School

October 25: All Saints Parade @ 11:30 Mass after communion
October 26-31: Red Ribbon Week, Drug awareness
October 28: All Saints Day celebrated at Mass
October 28: Home School Council sponsored Halloween party
October 29: NO SCHOOL- Teacher Professional Development
October 30: NO SCHOOL- Teacher Professional Development
November 1: First Reconciliation Rite at 11:30 Mass, Reconciliation
retreat following Mass. All Saints Day. Youth Ministry
Jamboree.
November 2: Home School Council Meeting 6:00 PM in the library
November 6: End of the 1st quarter & report cards (one week later)
November 10: College Night Sponsored by the Home School Council
November 19: Parent/Teacher Conferences, ½ day of class, dismissal at 11:30
November 20: No classes
November 25: ½ day, Thanksgiving vacation begins, dismissal at 11:30
November 26-27: No classes
December 5: Breakfast with Santa sponsored by the Home School Council
December 7: Home School Council Meeting 6:00 PM in the library

December 12: Barnes and Noble’s St. Pius X Book Fair and Community School

December 12: A Night in Bethlehem after 4:30 Mass in the community room

December 15: Christmas Music Program at 1:00 and 7:00
December 18: School Family Day, HALF day of school. Christmas vacation
begins after school

January 31: Catholic Schools Week celebration @ 11:30 Mass. This is a
children's mass and kids should wear their orange t-shirts
February 1-5: Catholic Schools Week 2010 Celebration at St. Pius X School
