Our agenda for Friday, May 17th, was:
Reading: Students had a terrific time at their Read Out!
Absent Students: Sorry you missed it.
Math: We checked our mode and range practice from yesterday. Next, our lesson
via the powerpoint reminded us and guided us in our practice for completing
mean, median, and range. Finally, we selected our level of challenge and
worked with our Study Buddy guide to complete median, mean, and range for the
data sets on the worksheet. **NOTE: Calculator use is permitted and encouraged.
Absent students: You will need to complete the assignment as described above.
The powerpoint presentation, Study Buddy step worksheet, and my selection of
your level of practice worksheet has been emailed to your parent.
English Language Arts: Free: We read to each other.
Absent Students: You cannot make up the instruction.
Spelling: Students took their final spelling test of the year.
Absent Students: You need to be prepared to turn in pg. 217. You will not be
taking the test.
Science: Students went to the computer lab to complete the D-Tech assignment
#1: Our Star the Sun. The directions asked students to use the Frayer model
worksheets for the vocabulary found in the glossary.
Absent Students: You can finish this at home. You should access the D-Tech
folder from this URL:
http://www.macomb.k12.mi.us/utica/info/
and the follow the directions for the assignment in your account. If I find
your completed sheets inside your Brains/desk I will send them with Emma D.
If not, you will receive blank sheets.
Social Studies: Students got their test back.
Absent Students: You have no assignment.
