About The Teacher

The ABC’s of
Mrs. German’s Life

Antique bikes are what I ride, with one wheel big, and one wheel small they
give me pride.

By giving me two right shoes when I asked for two the same, my husband to be
used his sense of humor as I prepared to bowl a game.

Chimes go ding-a-ling, as I direct Randall students to use cooperation and
flexibility to make them ring.

Daughters make my home a place for sharing, Jennifer, Leslie, Brianna,
together we are always caring.

Eastern Michigan University, is where I used initiative to get my masters
degree.

Fletcher, Brake and Truman were my schools from age 4-17; I made friends and
was on a winning team.

Go Blue is what my husband, Russ, always tells me. We are fans of Michigan’s
football team you see.

Homes are where kids grow, my kids live in my child-hood home and they think
it’s a cool fact to know.

Impossible is not a word to me, I’ve learned to use effort and replace it with
achievable in my vocabulary.

Jamaica, Mexico and the U.S. Virgin Islands are where my honeymoon cruise took
me. I was very curious to learn about each country and the wide open sea.

Kids are always in my heart; they always have been
from the start!

Life Guarding is a responsibility I take on while I watch my girls splash all
summer long.

Mackinac Island is where I rode my 1885 Singer high-wheel bike round and round
to complete a century (100 miles), until I was so exhausted I fell to the ground.

National College of Education is where I used my nature smarts as I led a team
of sixth grade students in outdoor education activities and received my
undergraduate degree.

Orange and yellow were my favorite colors as a child; they used to make me
laugh, giggle and smile.

Patience and problem solving were used hand in hand as I helped kids at Cove
School understand.

Quite an accomplishment said my teammates after voting me most valuable high
school swimmer.

Russ is the name of the husband I love so dear,
he stands by me year, after year, after year.

Square and round dancing are full of fun, fellowship and exercise! I have
been square dancing since I was 10 years old!

Teaching others about Integrated Thematic Instruction also means having the
courage to stand up for what I believe is best for kids.

Unicycles take lots of perseverance to learn to ride, before I got the hang of
it I tried and tried.

Vanishing into the wild blue yonder, the fall colors struck me in awe, as I
floated away in a hot air balloon.

White Water Rafting was enjoyed by my family as we explored and learned about
the western U.S.

eXcited is how I feel as I meet my new students and their families at the
beginning of each school year.

Youngest growing up, there were only four caring hearts; my mom, my dad, my
brother Mark and me.

Zillions of things to learn, zillions of things to share, zillions of people
to care about; all make life a learning adventure!

Class Mission

We will be building a class community together. The students will
learn lots of Lifelong Guidelines and LIFESKILLS which will enable them to
be successful in class, on the playground and in other areas of their life.
