Essential Vocabulary for 3rd Grade

The following list is the 3rd grade's essential vocabulary word list. The list consists of a set of 24 words and definitions that we will be teaching the students throughout the year. We feel these are some of the most important vocabulary words to learn. These are also words that will travel with the students to future grade levels. By the end of the year, we will expect the students to be able to tell us what the word means, give an example, and be able to apply it.
