What can my child bring in for snack?

We will be having snack everyday during the morning. It is very
important that your child bring in healthy snacks. I know that it is hard to
always have fruits and veggies available but please keep the sugar content
low. Examples of some healthy snacks are : crackers, cheese, pretzels, graham
crackers fresh fruits and veggies. I encourage the students to
always have a water bottle available with a pull-up top.

Can my child bring in a treat on their birthday?

Yes, that is always fun! Just make sure it is sent in early in the morning so that I can plan it into our day accordingly.

Can I volunteer in the classroom?

Yes! I love having parent helpers. Let me know when you are
available and we will set up a time. Every person who works in
the room with the students must first visit the office to fill
out a background check form.

How can I help my 1st grader at home?

The best thing to do is to check their backpack and b.b.t. folder for homework
and notes. Spelling & poems are sent home on Fridays and are due back on or
before the following Friday. Please make sure you are reading to your child
everyday and have them read to you. They will also be bringing home books to
read in a book bag during the week. Make sure you ask your child every day what
they learned in school.
