I grew up on a farm near Emmons,MN. I attended Scarville Evangelical
Lutheran School from K-8 and went on to Kiester/Walters High School. I
attended Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato,MN, and graduated with an AA
Degree. I continued my education at Mankato State University in Mankato,
MN, where I received a Bachelor of Teaching Degree with a concentration in
Special Education. I took graduate level courses at Black Hills State
University in Spearfish,SD, in Special Education.
I taught Kindergarten and First Grade in Yelm,WA, at Our Redeemer
Lutheran School. From there I taught 6th, 7th and 8th Grades in Reva,SD,
for Harding County School District. I also substitute taught in District
196 in Eagan, Rosemount, and Apple Valley,MN. I was the head teacher at the
Burnsville New Horizon in the Latch Key Program for 5 to 11 year old
children. I have had many wonderful opportunities here at Bloomington
Living Hope Lutheran School as a volunteer and aide for both Preschool and
Kindergarten.
I am a member of Bloomington Living Hope Lutheran. My family has been
blessed to be part of this congregation with its firm commitment to
education. My two girls have both attended Bloomington Living Hope School
from Pre-K3 until present.
I feel honored and privileged to serve as the First Grade
teacher here at the Living Hope location. I look forward to seeing all the
blessings God will work in us, as we learn and focus on how "Prayer Changes
Things" this school year.
PRAYER CHANGES THINGS
Phil. 4:4-6
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your
gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about
anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present our requests to God.
