ASSIGNMENT BOOKS: I plan to have students try copying assignments into their
assignment books right away this year. So please check your child's
assignment book each night.
MATH: Please check over all math homework. Circle any problems that your
child asked for assistance.
Please assume that math assignments are due the next day of school unless
otherwise stated. Generally there will be two homework sheets for math
assigned each day. (One math fact sheet and one lesson practice sheet.) On
assessment days there is typically no homework assignment.
Practicing addition flash cards for two to 5 minutes per night can be an
added benefit to your child's progress.
READING: Decodable books will be assigned one to two times per week. From
time to time your child may need to finish completing worksheets at home.
(Keep reading and recording all that you read at home for our reading
incentive program.) Rewards will be given out at the end of each quarter.
RELIGION: We will try to complete written work in class. Generally, memory
treasures and Bible readings will be assigned on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Recitations will be said on Tuesdays and Thursdays unless it is a shorter
week of school.
SPELLING: Pre-tests are on the first day of the school week. Tests are on
Friday or the last day of the school week. Spelling word lists are posted on
Teacherweb for your convenience.
