Dear Parents,
This message is just to check in and make sure your 6th grader brought his/her standardized testing results home yesterday. If not, they should be in the backpack.
Enjoy your evening,
Mrs. Koch

Dear Parents,
What a great day here!
The testing today went well. The sixth graders took three computerized tests and it is all done. Results will be coming...I will let you know about that.
They had their mini-golf outing for Phy. Ed. this afternoon...sounds like it was fun!
Tomorrow is a field trip to look forward to. Kids need to wear walking shoes...no flip flops please. You might want to watch the weather because it is an outdoor event.
HOMEWORK REVISION: Please tell your kids to get rid of one of their religion worksheets...the one entitled "Happy Homecoming"! A little present, I guess. :)
Have a great evening!
Mrs. Koch

Dear Parents,
Tomorrow the 6th graders will be taking standardized tests for much of the day. They can't do anything to prepare, except for getting a good night of sleep and a healthy breakfast.
Blessings,
Mrs. Koch
April 13...Sorry to bother you...nothing new, just resending this because my subject line was still "classroom speaker." I didn't want it ignored like "old news." God bless!

Dear Parents,
Plans are already underway for Track and Field Day. We have an Olympic theme this year, so we would like to order fun team t-shirts for all students. We did this once… eight years ago, and it was a real hit with the kids. There is a cost of $7.00 per t-shirt and, of course, we need sizes! To enable us to get started, please provide the information below, along with a check for $7.00 made payable to BLLH, by next Wednesday, April 18. There will be a reminder in next week’s Tuesday note, including a tear-off form at the bottom, if you would like to use that to respond. Otherwise, an email is fine, too.
If the cost of the t-shirt is a hardship, please call or email Mr. Zoellner (952-941-9047 or mzoellner@bllh.org).
Thank you!

Dear Parents,
We watched a video for our afternoon devotion today, and the kids were in favor of forwarding it to you all. It is quite amazing. Perhaps you have seen it already, but it is really worth the time. Here is the link.

Dear Parents,
I hope you all enjoy your days off with the kiddos. With the science fair coming up, it is probably quite timely. The Science Fair and the national basketball tourney make for a pretty exciting week!
We have also scheduled a speaker for the 5th and 6th graders for Tuesday. A note will be coming home on Monday, but with the quick turnaround, I wanted to let you know about it early. Janyce Claire Neuman will be educating the students on sexual harassment and bullying behaviors. We hired her last year also, and she did a fabulous job of relating this information to the kids in an age-appropriate manner and, furthermore, empowering them to stick up for themselves. So on Monday, please look for a note to sign and send back to school Tuesday morning.
Thank you so much.
God bless your weekends!
Mrs. Koch

Dear Parents,
What a busy week here at BLS! First of all, we are putting the finishing touches on the musical. As previously noted, everyone needs to wear a solid colored t-shirt for our performances. The color does not matter, as long as it is plain... no design or writing on it. These t-shirts are needed for three performances: Wednesday, 10:15 - dress rehearsal; Thursday, 2:15 and 7:00PM performances. Thank you so much! I think you will really enjoy the musical. It is a meaningful message with beautiful music!
Second, lunch orders are due tomorrow. I was informed today that lunch will provided for our classroom on April 11th by Megan Thomas's mom, so no need to order lunch that day.
Third, Thursday afternoon, we will celebrate Grandparents' Day...always an exciting time. I will be asking the kids tomorrow if their grandparents are able to make it or not. If you can clarify that with them tonight, that would be super. I just like to have a general idea.
Finally, Friday is the end of the quarter. Another fresh start right around the corner! Before you know it, 6th grade will be finished. They are learning and changing a lot. Don't miss it! :)
God's blessings,
Mrs. Koch
