Dear Parents,
What a beautiful day! It was so nice to see the sunshine after all those
dreary days last week. The 1st graders even had the chance to use a little
extra recess time that they had earned. It was a good day for it! :-)
Starting today, you will notice that your child is bringing home a small
worksheet with his/her take home book. After reading the story, you child
should write the answer to the question about the book. These sheets will
always be turned in the next day (just like the books are).
This Wednesday is day 100! We will be doing some fun activities in class that
day. The kids are really excited to get to 100 on our Math Meeting Count!
On Thursday morning we will be going to Living Hope to watch the
Kindergarteners' dress rehearsal of their play. Because we will be gone for
about an hour, there will be no Penmanship, Phonics, or Reading assignments
that day.
Since Valentine's Day is next week, I wanted to let you know what we do here
at school for it. The students are welcome to exchange Valentines with the
class. We don't have a big party (like the Christmas party), but we will take
some time in the afternoon to open Valentines.
This week we are going to start working on the song we will be singing at
Living Hope on February 26.
I have updated the Homework page. Please take a look, and let me know if you
have any questions. Have a wonderful week!
Lord's blessings,
Mrs. Koester

"Prayer Changes Things"
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness
be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in
everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests
to God. ~ Philippians 4:4-6
