Ideas For Extra Practice

  • Start a journal at home. Write about your day, your favorite things to do, your family, etc...   
  • Write sentences on the driveway in chalk.
  • Practice writing your last name "The Kindergarten Way" with an uppercase letter first, lowercase after that.

  • Visit your local library and look for books written by our May Author of the Month...Gail Gibbons!

  • Practice counting to 100 by 1s and 10s!

  • Practice writing numbers from 1 to 31 and beyond!

  • Use cereal, buttons, legos, etc...to make patterns (AB, ABC, AAB, ABB, AABB, etc...)

  • Visit our "Kindergarten Links" page for some fun learning games.

  • Read to your child (or have your child read to you) every day!
