The Blue and Gold Education Foundation
Since 1985 Blue and Gold has provided
an organized structure for people to share the blessings of their lives with
future generations. Over $160,000 in scholarships have been awarded to
graduates of Canby High School. Blue and Gold conducts fundraisers, accepts
gifts, and invests bequests to generate revenue to fund both general
scholarships specific scholarships.
Student applications are due in March & given at Commencement. Winners
receive their awards after successfully completing one semester of
post-secondary education & providing a copy of their grades to the Blue & Gold
Treasurer.
Fundraising receipts, donations, and bequests are invested with The
Southwest Minnesota Initiative Foundation. SWIF provides many services for
Blue and Gold. As it serves as a fiduciary repository, it also provides a
wide range of investment choices and technical support for non-profit fund
raising.
An endowment initiative to provide each Canby graduate with a $1,000
scholarship is underway. Starting in 2011, all graduates who have attended
Canby High School will be eligible. Please join the Blue and Gold
Foundation in realizing the dream that this endowment represents for the
future of the Canby community.
