The students created these rules through group work and class discussion:
Work Habits:
Bring your "tools."
Listen carefully and read directions.
Concentrate.
Look your work over.
Finish and return homework.
Respect:
Speak kindly and be truthful.
Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Ask permission to borrow the property of others. Return it.
Keep our school and classroom neat and clean.
Movement:
Sharpen pencils and get drinks on your independent time.
Ask permission to leave the room.
Use a bathroom pass.
Move silently in the hallway.
Communication
Use a soft, 12" voice.
Use a louder, 12' voice when speaking to the class.
Raise your hand and take turns.
Look at the speaker.
