Mrs. Kubat's Second Grade

*  is used to help teach your child responsibility.

*  will ALWAYS be practice or review of a skill previously taught in the
classroom.

*  should not take your child longer than 25 minutes total each night.  If
homework is taking your child longer, please let me know so that we can
discuss the problem.

*  will usually be sent home in the Monday folder.

Vocabulary words and spelling words will be sent home on Mondays and tested
on Fridays.  There will usually be two small paper books to read each week. 
These need to be signed by an adult and returned to school by Friday.
 
Math facts sheets and flashcards will be sent in the Monday folders.
Memorizing math addition and subtraction facts needs to be done at home.

Library books will be sent home each week.  Students need to read a minumum
of two Accelerated Reading books each week. When your child returns and
tests the AR books more books can be checked out of the library.
