Meet the Team

Ms. Ulrich-
This is my eighth year teaching in Cannon Falls and my third year
teaching 4th grade. I have previously taught 2nd and 3rd grade, as well.
Before becoming a teacher, I was an author and motivational speaker. I
am looking forward to another exciting year in 4th grade, and meeting all of
you!
I love spending time with my family and friends. I have two daughters.
Vanessa is 18 and a freshman at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. She is
majoring in Psychology and Political Science. Vanessa is a ball of energy!
Mercedes is 13 and is an 8th grader in the Cannon Falls Middle School. She
is active in ski club, loves animals, and enjoys riding around on her moped.
We enjoy baking, shopping, fishing, bowling, going to movies, and eating out
on special occasions. When I am not busy with the girls, I can usually be
found at a local auction or flea market. I love collecting handmade quilts
and rugs, old buttons, and primitive furniture. I am also an active member
of "Two Girls and a Truck". We had our first major junk market in August at
the Cannon Falls Winery. It was great fun! I am also a fan of motorcycles
and reading. I have over 2,500 books in my classroom! I hope to share many
of them with you. In addition to this, I am currently working toward my
Master's Degree at St. Mary's University. Let's have a fantastic year
together!

Mrs. Winchell-
Greetings! My name is Jaime Winchell and I am a third year teacher
here at CFAES. In 2002 I graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a BA
in K-8 Education and a minor in Coaching. This fall I am beginning my
graduate degree at Saint Mary's University. I am looking forward to another
great year here in Cannon Falls. Fortunately, I have been given the
opportunity to stay home the first 7 weeks of school this year with my
newborn daughter, Karsyn.
My husband, Aaron, and I live here in Cannon Falls with our three
children, Jaci (4), Jadan (2 1/2), and Karsyn (2 months). When I'm not in
school, I'm usually watching John Deere Tractors or Cars, getting dirty with
the kids, playing at the park, going for bike rides and walks, cooking
dinner, or doing laundry. Some things I like to do when I'm by myself is
read, bike, work out, play volleyball and basketball, watch American Idol,
Grey's Anatomy, Men in Trees and October Road, spend time with family and
friends, and of course...go shopping! Something fun I did this summer was go
to Wisconsin Dells with the kids and some friends!
Waterslides galore...WOW!
I look forward to a fun-filled year of successful learning experiences
and community building with each child. Happy New School Year!

Mrs. Wolter-
I'm the familiar face in the 4th grade hallway. My name is Lynn
Wolter. I can't believe this is my 12th year teaching in Cannon Falls! I
taught 6th and 4th grade in Lakeville, MN for 7 years before coming here
where I was hired as a 6th grade teacher. I then moved to 4th grade because
I love this age so much! I have my Master's Degree in Elementary Education
grades 1-6.
My husband, Mark, and I live out in the country near Lake Byllesby. We
collectively have 4 children. Their names are Brook and Molly Thomforde,
and Bailey and Samantha Wolter. As for pets, we have a black lab and a
golden retriever. My husband is a teacher also and is building his 5th house
with the students this school year. Most of my free time is spent driving my
children back and forth to practices since they are all in sports! And of
course you'll find me watching their games from the bleachers. When I'm not
busy being a mom, I actually like to roller blade, cross country ski, play
tennis, read, garden, play cards, go four-wheeling, deer hunt, camp, fish,
golf, and collect rocks! I love to cook and try new recipes! My highlight
this summer was joining a women's golf league. I also play on the women's
tennis league. We finished our basement this summer and are enjoying the
extra living space.
Past students tell me I make learning fun!

Mrs. Keller-
My name is Krista Keller and I am thrilled to be part of Cannon Falls
Elementary! This will be my sixth year of teaching, but my first in the 4th
grade. Though my husband and I are native Minnesotans, we lived in Colorado
for the last five years where I taught grades 5 and 6. I also worked with
6th and 7th grade students at Farmington Middle School East as the long-term
substitute reading specialist throughout the spring of 2007. I completed my
undergrad coursework at the University of Minnesota, Morris, and earned a
master’s degree in reading and literacy through Walden University in the fall
of 2006.
In my spare time, I love to play with my two furry children: Sundance
the Golden Retriever and Blue the Weimereiner. I also like to read, go
camping, goof around on the computer, cook, travel, and watch old movies.
My husband, Justin, and I both grew up in Slayton, Minnesota. From
kindergarten through high school, teachers consistently seemed to seat us at
neighboring desks. We squabbled and threw spitballs at each other until we
were about 17. We’ve been inseparable ever since, although we still squabble
and throw spitballs on occasion.
I'm confident that this will be a fabulous school year! Fourth grade
students and teachers have a lot of fun and exciting events to look forward
to.

Mrs. Jarocki-
Hello to all! I am Jennifer Jarocki. I am the Long-Term sub for Mrs.
Winchell. I will be here until October 17th. I am very excited to be here for
the beginning of the year!
I was recently married to my husband, Justin. We have just moved in
around the area and I am still trying to unpack everything. We also just got
a new member of our family, a beagle named Dixie. She is definitely a
handful. In my spare time, I love to read a good book, play tennis, pool,
basketball, and swimming. I enjoy visiting family whenever I can.
I look forward to a wonderful time here in Cannon Falls and I hope the
students are looking forward to it as well.
