ELIGIBILITY FOR VALLEYFAIR FIELD TRIP

                                                                                                                                 

Consistent with high expectations regarding the CFMS program, the following guidelines have been created for student eligibility for the Valleyfair field trip.  As teachers, we feel respect, responsibility, and readiness are important areas for personal development.  This Valleyfair Eligibility Plan is representative of staff feelings that good behavior and performance should be rewarded. 

 

Beginning 4^th quarter

 

*** A student must earn 140 points out of a possible 180 points AND be at passing status in all 4^th quarter classes (includes quarter classes) by Friday, May 30^th to attend this special event!!! ***

 

POINTS POSSIBLE

(4 points a day = 20 points a week)

 

Earn 1 point from each of the following categories

 

Attendance (any part of day missed counts as absence)             45

No tardies                                                        45

Assignment Completion                                                45

Class prep (bring all materials)                          45

                                                           

TOTAL                                                        180

 

Deductions:

*  Each Tardy                                                -01             

*  Assignment Completion                             -01 (per class not completed on time)

* Academic Integrity                                     -10 (copying, cheating, plagiarism, etc.)             

*  Office referral                                           -10

*  Teacher Detention                                    -10

*  Removal from class                                    -15

*  1 hour high school detention                     -20

*  Suspension (ISS or OSS)                            -40

 

These points are deducted from core classes, quarter classes, Target, Band and Choir

 

**Any discipline issue or infraction of rules will still be deducted from student’s total points after May 30^th.  **Students not eligible for the field trip are required to attend school on the day of the field trip to complete tests and final schoolwork.
