Grade 1

FIRST GRADE

Books-in-a-Bag    Please have your child read the book, record it on the sheet inside the
plastic envelope, and send it back the next day.  Any books that your child
reads to you at home can be recorded on the sheet.  If you have any questions
about it, call or e-mail me.

 

Cut-up Sentences     What should you do with cut-up sentences?  Inside  
the envelope are the sentence and the individual words in the sentence.  
Have your child read the words and put them in order to make the sentence.  
Mix them up and try it again.  Turn all the words face down and have your child turn  
over the words one at a time and read them.

 
High Frequency Words
New words: five, four, two, in, once, tree, upon, what, like, said
  
Review:  I, see, my, like, are, a, to, and, go, he, is, here, for, have, said, the, play, she, jump, not, too, we, on, cat, sat, have, find, one, who
