This is Mrs. Keller's sixth year of teaching, but her first year in the
fourth grade! She taught fifth and sixth grade students in Byers, Colorado
from 2002-2007. She also served as the long-term substitute reading
specialist at Farmington Middle School East during the 4th quarter of 2007.
Mrs. Keller attended the University of Minnesota, Morris as an undergrad and
completed a reading and literacy master's degree through Walden University in
the fall of 2006.
Mrs. Keller enjoys all school subjects, but is most passionate about
reading. She would read all day if her husband would let her get away with
it! She plans to focus on comprehension strategies for various kinds of text
in class this year. Mrs. Keller also wants to concentrate on the connection
between reading and writing and help her students emulate effective authors.
When she isn't working, Mrs. Keller likes to spend time with her two furry
children: Sundance the Golden Retriever and Brasky the cat. She also
likes to go camping, cook, read (of course), goof around on the computer, and
watch old movies with her husband, Justin.
She is thrilled to be a part of Cannon Falls Elementary!
