This Day in History: 1930 - On a United Airlines flight between San Francisco 
and Cheyenne, Wash., Ellen Church became the first airline stewardess.

MENU: Corn Dogs or Ham Sandwich, Mixed Fruit, Lettuce Salad and Milk.  No 
Salad Bar.

EVERYONE:  Remember that this weekend is the final production of "Fools".  
Make sure you come to the CCC on Friday and Saturday night at 7:00 p.m. to 
catch this very funny play.

SENIORS:  Get your senior questionnaire into the Beacon ASAP or you will not 
be included in the graduation supplement!

NEED A SUMMER JOB? Check the job board by Stephanie's window!

MS BAND/CHOIR CONCERT:  Is tomorrow at 7:00 p.m.  Ya'll come, it's free!

CONGRATS:  To Laurence Proz whose internship exploration project was chosen 
as one of the top five in the nation at the National BPA competition last 
week in Reno, Nevada.  Way to go!

NATIONAL FINANCIAL LITERACY CHALLENGE:  Anyone in grades 9-12 wishing to 
participate in the National Financial Literacy Challenge should contact Mrs. 
Tilderquist today.  This is a 35 question test on the computer which can lead 
to national awards for those who place well. The test can be taken in B99 
during your study hall 1st, 2nd, 6th or 7th hours or after school, but it 
must be done by the end of the day on Friday.

WANT TO BE ON THE NEWSPAPER STAFF:  Anyone in grades 8-11 who wants to be on 
the newspaper staff next year should see Mrs. Tilderquist for an 
application.  This includes students who were on the staff this year.  The 
Lantern needs writers, editors, a copy editor and layout help.  Ad sales 
people are also needed.  Deadline for turning applications in is Tuesday, May 
20 at the end of the day.

ATTENTION 7, 8 AND 9TH GRADERS:  There are still openings in the summer 
baseball traveling teams - registration forms are available in the Community 
Ed Office. 

BOMBER DANCE TEAM 08-09:  Team and parent meeting on Thursday, May 22 from 
6:00-7:30 at the elementary cafeteria.  Stop in Alison's office for a handout.

ALL VOLLEYBALL PLAYERS: Turn in your money for league in Rochester and order 
forms/money for any Bomber clothing orders this week!

YEARBOOKS ARE FOR SALE: If you did not order a yearbook and would like to 
purchase one they are for sale with Mr. Meyer for $48.00 dollars.  Limited 
supply so see him as soon as possible!

ATTENTION NEXT YEARS JUNIORS, YES THE CLASS OF 2010!  Elections for class 
officers will be taking place soon. During the week of May 12th to the 16th 
you can sign up to be on the ballot in the IMC.  Please take the time to read 
what each officer is responsible for during the year so that you can make an 
informed decision about running. 

TRIVIA OF THE WEEK: What Minnesota town boasts an annual celebration called 
Wrong Day?  If you think you know the answer, stop in Alison's office to 
enter to win fabulous prizes!

Tutoring today in the guidance office from 3:00-3:30.  Today's tutor is 
Katherine Lorentz!
