When is snack time for my child? Do I need to provide a snack? Snack time is everyday around 9:15. In first grade students need to purchase milk tickets at the office. Students also need to bring their own snack for snack time. School starts at 8:10 and dismisses at 2:50. Does my child need to bring back his/her Take Home Folder? Each child has a Take Home Folder with his/her name on it. These folders will be sent home everyday, and your child needs to bring it back everyday. The folder is used to send home school work and any important notes for school. You may also use the folder for sending notes to school. Please check the folders everynight. When will my child have recess? Recess starts at 11:25 and ends at 11:55. Students need to dress appropriately for the weather. In the winter time, students need to wear boots, snowpants, mittens/gloves and hats. What do I need to do if my child needs medication at school? The nurse administers all medication. She will need written permission from you to administer medication to your child. There are forms availabe in the office and information in the school handbook. The medicine needs to be in the original container. Does my child need to bring treats on his/her birthday? Your child does not need to bring treats to school. It is not required. Many of the students do like to bring treats in for their birthdays. Birthday treats need to be purchased at a store. Our classroom will need to have 24 treats purchased. We will have the birthday treats at snack time. How do I get in contact with Mrs. La Pan? You may contact Mrs. La Pan at school at 263-6800 Ext. 3228. If she is not available to take your call, the secretaries will take a message or you may leave a voice mail. Mrs. La Pan will get back to you as soon as possible. The best time of the day to contact Mrs. La Pan is from 7:30 to 8:00 and again from 3:00 to 3:30. |
